Advocating for systemic change

This interactive study module (approx. 1.5 hours completion time) with multiple-choice assessment is adapted from Malvina Walsh’s presentation at the Australian Breastfeeding Association’s 2021 Health Professional Seminar Series, ‘Advocating for systemic change – the work of the Baby Feeding Law Group Ireland’.
Modules feature video recordings of Malvina Walsh’s presentation, alongside additional engaging activities and resources to further extend learning.
Learning outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of breastfeeding rates in Ireland and the factors that influence these
- Develop an understanding of the impact of funding cuts to BFHI hospitals on breastfeeding outcomes and morale
- Develop an understanding of the Baby Feeding Law Group Ireland and their advocacy activities
- Develop an understanding of successful advocacy strategies to support and promote breastfeeding outcomes
